URGENT COMPATIBILTY UPDATE

RE : GM Vivaro / Renault Trafic Cranskhaft Pulley Compaibility

After a recent influx of warranty parts coming from vans including Opel Vauxhall Vivaro and Renault Trafic models, our warranties team have joined forces with our R&D team to ensure that our parts are as solid and robust as they have ever been.

What has been found, however, are large inconsistencies in aftermarket compatibility checks and as a result we are seeing warranty claims coming through after booking out the previous generation, non-interchangeable pulley.

Here at GT, we are already working on updating our AutoCat data to ensure that any registration lookups are as accurate as they can be. However, outside of not cross referencing to our competitors, we are unable to control part matches made to our range from competitor cross referencing.

One of the newest parts to our range, GT1345524 was a part that we expected to be increasingly popular heading into Q2, 2023. Instead, however, we have seen a steady increase in the uptake of GT1345054, contrary to our initial estimates. Now, a full quarter after it’s release, we are now able to see exactly why this has been the case !
